I incorporate different teaching strategies such as ICT facilities (Kahoot, Google Classroom, and self-made educational videos), practical experiments and group activities. Each student has a unique learning curve and learning method, that as a teacher, I use to alter my teaching strategies. I work to ensure excellence in high quality teaching through constant reflection on my skill and teaching practices. Students should be provided with a meaningful and relevant education that will provide a range of opportunities to meet all of life's challenges while also enabling social mobility. I believe an open dialogue should be created between parents and myself through phone contact or email to discuss their child and the best approach to their learning.

Lesson content and unit plans were consistently uploaded to the school management system and a professional email was used to engage with any parties concerned. During both placements I utilised Daymap for daily communication with students, parents/carers, and colleagues, whereas at Pinnacle college I used Mysis, another learning management system. This allowed me to understand colleagues, students and the school’s dynamic, forming strong working relationships. As a secondary teacher I was able to established a safe and respectful environment in my classroom and challenged the students on an academic level. I actively immerse myself into the school community through attending parent welcome barbecues, faculty meetings, professional learning and excursions.

I encourage students to take risks with their learning whilst maintaining a safe and supportive environment for learners with differentiated backgrounds through a variety of formative and summative assessments. This allows for a safe place for students and allows them to express themselves in within the classroom. I encourage student participation and involvement in activities through a friendly conversational style. Building meaningful relationships in the classrooms allows for students to feel safe, confident and willing to learn.
